Hi, I have a problem with Outlook 2016 related to add-ins. I have gone through my settings and done quite a bit searching with no luck. All the help is highly appreciated. Setup environment: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit Office: Office 365 Professional 64-bit add-ins: Wunderlist and Boomerang - both installed from Office Store problem I have installed Wunderlist and Boomerang add-ins from the Office Store. When I'm in the main view of Outlook 2016, both applications run fine and I can use them for what they do just fine. (see pic below) Problem arises when I try to use them while writing a new email. Apps are greyed out (see below).
Any ideas what to do? This is quite unfortunate as the biggest value-add comes from the message view and as it is I don't get too much out of these apps. I have not found any security setting that would look to cause this issue. Based on the research I've done I would expect the security settings to block the entire add-in, not just the use of it in a one specific view. Both add-ins work perfectly if I use them in O365 portal.Personal information deleted by the moderator. Hello Marko, Few more details would help us to provide a better response. What is the type of email account configured in Outlook? Verify the same from File Account Settings Account Settings Email?. Did you enable or install any security add-in for Outlook application? Let us try disabling all other add-in for Outlook and just enable Boomerang add-in to check if it work as expected.
This is to verify if any other add-in is causing any issue. Please post back with the information asked for further assistance.
I am having this same issue with my customers. Our solution KnowledgeTree has an Outlook app extension added from a custom URL. I have had a report that all plugins greyed out on OS 7 and 10 for Outlook 2016+. However, when they go into a saved draft and reopen it, the add-ins are enabled. It works fine on web access 365, but they don't use that. There are no other addin's in their system that would impacting this. Any help would be greatly appreciated as this appears to be a major problem.
If you have any clearly defined steps for resolution, that we be great!
